Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only those artists whose collective works display consistently noteworthy creativity and talent receive such recognition.

Rick Denzien has been selected as a "Honorable Mention" in the June 2007 and August 2008 rounds of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only those artists who display particular talent or creativity receive such recognition.

Rick Denzien, in collaboration with O'Reilly, Quirk, Lee, and Berchially, has been selected as a "Finalist" in the June 2008 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition for his Country submission "Miss The Way You Love Me". Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top five entries achieve "Finalist" status.

Rick Denzien has also been selected as a "Runner Up" in the September 2008 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top entries achieve Runner Up status.
