The following ten songwriters have won their respective category in the songwriting contest. The top songs were determined by "songwriting" alone. Vocal ability was not taken into consideration. A full instrumental production was also not considered. Latisha Johnson came in 1st place, Maria Salazar 2nd place and Alan Rodriguez 3rd place. A special congratulations to Dawn Stevens who received a "Finalist" placement in the "Pop Category" and the "Lyric Only" category with two different songs.
