July Songwriting Contest Results

July's songwriting contest winners and finalists include songwriters from Iceland, Canada, The United Kingdom, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, The United States, and The Netherlands. Vocal ability was not taken into consideration. Production/mixing quality was also not taken into consideration. For example, Patrick LePoidevin's winning song was a simple acoustic recording. Rod Holmes won the instrumental category with a simple piano recording. The winning songs are selected only by the songwriting aspects of the material.  Song of the Year maintains a different set of judges each month to ensure that different opinions are determining the winners throughout the year.
