Espie has been selected as a "Winner" in the August 2008 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only one song from each category achieves "Winner" status.

Espie has also been selected as a "Finalist" in the February 2008 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top five entries achieve "Finalist" status.
