Dean Hansen has been selected as a "Runner Up" in the April 2006, June 2006, and August 2006 rounds of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Dean has also been selected as a "Honorable Mention" in the May 2006 round of the competition. 

Dean Hansen has been selected as a "Finalist" in the June 2006 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top five entries achieve "Finalist" status.
