October's Songwriting Contest Results
The October 2009 songwriting winners have been announced. The top songwriters were from The United States,
Germany, Norway, India, France, The United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. The judging was based on
'songwriting' alone. Vocal ability was not taken into consideration. A full instrumental production of the material
was also not taken into consideration. For example, over 45% of the songs that placed as Winners or Finalists in
October's round did so with simple 'vocal/piano' or 'vocal/acoustic guitar' recordings.
