August's Songwriting Contest Results
The August 2009 songwriting winners have been announced. The top songwriters were from The United States, Bermuda, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and The United Kingdom. The judging was based on 'songwriting' alone. Vocal ability was not taken into consideration. A full instrumental production of the material was also not taken into consideration. For example, over thirty percent of those who placed as a Winner or Finalist in August did so with simple 'vocal/acoustic guitar' or 'vocal/piano' recordings. A special congratulations to Casey Reynolds who placed as a Finalist in both the "Rock" and "Country" category in this month's round with two different songs.
