Stephen Desjardins has been selected as a "Honorable Mention" in the April 2006, June 2006, January 2007, February 2007, and October 2007 rounds of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Stephen Desjardins has also been selected as a "Runner Up" in the August 2006, March 2007, May 2007, August 2007, September 2007, and February 2008 rounds of the competition. Stephen has also been selected as a "Suggested Artist" in the November 2006, December 2006, June 2007, July 2007, and November 2007 rounds of competition.

Stephen Desjardins has been selected as a "Finalist" in the July 2006 and April 2007 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top five entries achieve "Finalist" status.

 Stephen Desjardins has been selected as a "Winner" in the April 2005 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition for the song "I Am Because of You." Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only one song from each category achieves "Winner" status.
