F. J. Nascimento has been selected as a "Finalist" in the February 2006 and January 2007 rounds of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top five entries achieve "Finalist" status. 

F.J. Nascimento has been selected as a "Runner Up" in the July 2006, October 2006, November 2006 and November 2008 rounds of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. F.J. Nascimento has also been selected as a "Honorable Mention" in the September 2006, December 2006, March 2007 and December 2008 rounds of competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top entries achieve such status.
