When are the winners announced?

After each monthly competition, the winners and finalists will be announced upon the completion of acquiring all the judging forms that we send out to our judges. There is a 7-10 business day period after the end of the month which we wait for to make sure all of our oversea entries arrive. Upon receiving all the entries, the songs are then sent out to all of our judges throughout the nation. We have a wide variety of judges located throughout the United States including New York, Los Angeles, London, and Nashville to name a few. 

We then have to wait for the judges to send back the judging forms before tallying up all the votes and announcing a winner. We will contact you should your song be selected and the winners and finalists will be announced on the website. This allows you to see your status in the yearly contest without having to wait for an entire year like most other song competitions. Your monthly winning song (not finalist's song) will compete against the other monthly winning songs in your category at the end of the year to establish the yearly winner in your category. The grand prize winner will be selected between the 10 yearly winners from each category at the end of the year.

If you are a monthly finalist (not a winner) you still can compete for the Grand Prize at the end of the year by submitting the same song or a new song in the next month's competition. We have commitments from different judges throughout the year so if your song does not make it in one month, the judges reviewing your material in the next month may review it differently. You will also be competing against an entirely different group of songs. Keep in mind that each month, we will send the songs from the monthly winners and finalists to record labels, publishers, producers, and others in the music industry. You could possibly be more successful than the yearly grand prize winner since all monthly winners and finalists will have their material sent to notable industry leaders.
