How do you compare to other contests?
Song of the Year offers more opportunities than any other song contest. Some contests offer the winners an opportunity to be on a compilation CD containing 8-10 songs at the end of the year. Song of the Year sends out 50 songs every month totaling 600 songs throughout the year. The monthly winners and finalists will have their material forwarded to record labels, publishers, and others in the music industry that are looking for new talent. This allows us to send more songs out than any other contest around. Though the cash and prizes are great rewards, the ultimate goal for most songwriters is to establish a long-term career in music. Our resources are always excited to hear the top songs. It is this very reason that Song of the Year has networked with individuals in the music industry and sends out so many songs on a monthly basis.
Unlike many contests that simply award prizes and then the contest is over, Song of the Year expects to have more success stories in the future from its contestants. We believe this will benefit both the songwriter and the Song of the Year contest.
